Patriot Legacy Fund is proud to announce the 2023-2024 award recipients. A total of $50,000 in scholarships will be disbursed to 30 students for the upcoming academic year.

“The last few years have been difficult for everyone, so we are honored to be able to continue serving the veteran community and accomplishing our mission,” stated Founder and Air Force veteran Jay Puckett. “We continue to see increased growth in the number of amazing applicants each year. It is absolutely humbling to read their stories and learn about how much they have accomplished at this stage in their lives. We are also very thankful to our donor community for their support in reaching another major milestone of more than $200K granted since we began in 2018!”

How the Scholarship Program Works
In addition to a demonstrated academic ability and financial need, applicants submitted essays that required introspection into their values and how they respond to challenges.

The program is open to the dependent children of veterans with a VA service-connected disability rating of 10% or higher. Individuals must be accepted into an accredited college or university, community college, or recognized technical or trade school at the time the award is issued, and have unmet financial need. Each must maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA in their first semester to qualify for the second-semester distribution.
