Scholarships

The application window for the 2024-2025 scholarships will open on March 1st and run through April 30th.

Read all sections below before beginning the process. No exceptions will be granted for missing or incomplete application information.

ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarships are based on need as supported by the Student Aid Index (SAI) reported on the the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Submission Summary.

The amount and number of available scholarships are determined based on the total budget allotted and the number of applications received.

Funds will be disbursed equally across two payment terms (fall, spring, or summer), and only up to the unmet need as shown on the student’s statement of account. Scholarships are for the current academic year only and are sent directly to the school to be applied to tuition, fees, books, supplies, and on-campus school room and board (per IRS guidelines excludes Greek housing, personal expenses, transportation costs, etc.). Any unapplied funds will be sent back to Patriot Legacy Fund.

Recipients are responsible for notifying their school’s Financial Aid Office of their scholarship award so they can count the funds as part of the financial aid package for the academic year. A Scholarship Verification Letter can be requested from PLF upon notification of award.
