The Patriot Legacy Fund is excited to announce this year’s scholarship recipients, with $62,000 in educational support awarded to 34 students for the 2025–2026 school year. Each recipient is a child of a U.S. military veteran, carrying forward a legacy of service through academic excellence and community impact.

This year’s announcement marks a continued upward trajectory for the organization, bringing our total awarded since 2018 to more than $320,000.

“Our mission has always been about honoring the families who serve behind the scenes,” said founder and Air Force veteran Jay Puckett. “These students are pursuing ambitious goals and breaking new ground in their communities. We’re proud to stand behind them.”

As the need for meaningful veteran-family support grows, so does our resolve. With each award cycle, we’re reminded of the generosity of our supporters and the potential unlocked when we invest in those who give so much.

How the Scholarship Program Works
In addition to a demonstrated academic ability and financial need, applicants submitted essays that required introspection into their values and how they respond to challenges.

The program is open to the dependent children of veterans with a VA service-connected disability rating of 10% or higher. Individuals must be accepted into an accredited college or university, community college, or recognized technical or trade school at the time the award is issued, and have unmet financial need. Each must maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA in their first semester to qualify for the second-semester distribution.
