Patriot Legacy Fund is honored to recognize this year’s class of scholarship recipients. For the 2024–2025 academic year, $56,000 in funding will be awarded to 30 exceptional students, each connected to a U.S. military veteran.

Now in our seventh year, we’ve proudly surpassed $260,000 in total awards, a testament to the enduring strength of our mission and the unwavering support of our donors.

“These students represent the next generation of leaders,” said Jay Puckett, founder and U.S. Air Force veteran. “Their resilience, drive, and connection to service reflect everything we stand for. It’s incredibly rewarding to help them take the next step in their education.”

This year’s milestone underscores both the growing need for educational support among veteran families and the power of community-driven impact. We remain committed to expanding our reach and honoring the legacy of service through opportunity.

How the Scholarship Program Works
In addition to a demonstrated academic ability and financial need, applicants submitted essays that required introspection into their values and how they respond to challenges.

The program is open to the dependent children of veterans with a VA service-connected disability rating of 10% or higher. Individuals must be accepted into an accredited college or university, community college, or recognized technical or trade school at the time the award is issued, and have unmet financial need. Each must maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA in their first semester to qualify for the second-semester distribution.
